Although it doesn't involve cooking, the rather poor 1956 remake of The Women, The Opposite Sex, transposes the leg-biting battle between Rosalind Russell and Paulette Goddard in Marjorie Main's front yard to a pot-hurling, furniture-upsetting, hair-pulling brawl between Ann Miller and Dolores Gray in Charlotte Greenwood's kitchen.
