The Avengers was a crappy movie. Why copy a piece of crap like The Avengers. Justice League is a much better movie than The Avengers. Why don't you ask just about every studio in Hollywood, because ever since The Avengers came out in 2012 everybody's been hopping onto the "shared cinematic universe" train and building up to major crossover events. Everybody from Paramount to Universal to yes Warner Bros. wants a piece of that pie, and why not? The Avengers, contrary to how you perceive it as being, was a major box office success and a critical success too. Pretty much the vast majority of people on the planet view it as being a good movie. The same cannot really be said for every DCEU film with the exception of Wonder Woman, the reviews are not glowingly positive and general audiences and longtime fans of DC are split on them, and this has continued with Justice League - I enjoyed the movie, but I can see why its not something critics are eating up and calling a fine dish. What makes the film work are the character interactions, but the story is so basic you can summarize it in a singular sentence and there are not really any layers beneath the surface to make the re-watch value any better than the first time around. Visually it is even a step-down from the other movies that came before it - both Gotham City and Metropolis feel pretty fake a lot of the time and very stagey in moments. They both felt like real places in Man of Steel, BvS, and Suicide Squad.
