I can remember that terrifying Summer of '69. Living near Los Angeles, it was all the news. It was scary enough just seeing it on the news, but picking up Life Magazine in the doctor's office and seeing the crime scene photos waste when the real horror hit for me.
I knew who Sharon Tate was because I had just recently seen her in a film with Dean Martin, which was the bottom half of a double bill with "Wait Until Dark," which scared me so bad I have never been able to watch it again.
I had been thinking about Manson recently as to the situation when Nixon left out the word "alleged" when referring to Manson as a killer. It made headlines and Manson brought a copy of the paper into the courtroom and said he couldn't receive a fair trial if the POTUS declared him guilty. Trump calls everyone guilty and no one cares.
