What's the controversy? A scrub team acted like scrubs and Oklahoma won as expected. Trash talking is controversial now? I didn't even know this was a story. I'll say this: If a black QB did this it would've led off every daily sports talk show for a week. Trump probably would've tweeted about it. He's not starting against WVU in his final home game while they're shooting for the playoffs. Coach was in tears at a press conference and Mayfield was in tears too. I expect him to miss a series and would be shocked if he sits out the entire first half. I agree. This is sports. Sometimes unfortunately things can get a little vulgar. He's a competitor. I want that in an athlete - especially a QB. Show some passion and fire. To me he's head and shoulder over Rosen and Darnold - but all the 'draft experts' are having questions about his attitude now ala Winston and Manziel. I love his reaction when they don't shake his hand, hilarious stuff. It's like they got him with a lame practical joke or something. Anyway he did get crude in front of tv cameras while representing his university, so a punishment is warranted. I still don't view it as a much of a controversy. He'll be held out one series and then take over. Darnold seems like a dipshit to me. I like Mayfield in general but it's tough to tell if a Big XII QB has what it takes for the NFL, that conference plays zero defense.
