That's a biased comparison made by an MCU fan and is completely invalid. It claims that "the woman recruited a hero who saw himself as a monster". That's false. That never happened in The Avengers. Black Widow didn't recruit Hulk. Black Widow blackmailed Bruce Banner to join the team.

So the Avengers weren't recruited and didn't form the team voluntarily like the Justice League did. The Avengers were forced to join the team through blackmail and coercion.

So Supes was resurrected against his will.
He SAID Bats wouldn't let him live but he wouldn't let him die.

Not unlike Coulson had to die to recruit Stark. None of the others really knew Phil. That death cut Tony to the core.

Yet Fury can count the people he trusts on one hand so Coulson lost his right to rest in peace on the whim of one paranoid leader.
