Alien is one of my favorite movies ever and I ever since I saw it for the first time I've been very interested in the 'Alien universe'.
Even though it could've been so much better, I was still interested in the world and the backstory Ridley Scott showed in Prometheus.
Right now, they just need someone with a fresh artistic vision and the studio needs to give more creative freedom to director.
Maybe someone like Villeneuve, Cuarón or del Toro. If they would really dare to take a risk I'd be interested to see what kind of Alien movie Aronofsky would make.
