Maniac Cop: Good action/horror thriller, with subtle hints on possible supernatural activity. Creepy atmosphere and stylish direction by William Lustig. Robert Z'dar is perfect as Matt Cordell. My one complaint is that the ending seemed to be a bit rushed.
Maniac Cop 2: Surprisingly good sequel that measures up to the first. Superior action scenes, especially the now-famous police station massacre sequence.
Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence: Meh, didn't really care for it. No wonder Lustig and Cohen quit on it.
I have no interest in seeing a remake.
