Maniac Cop Trilogy (1988-1993)

Sorry about the bump but I just thought I should mention that the "upcoming" remake seems to "have the right to remain silent... Forever!" or at least according to Larry Cohen, several months back.

Maybe its for the best.
I would probably still see it, if a new Maniac Cop movie was to be made, however the move away from the horror tone of the original films to a contemporary and realistic action thriller settings/plot, that could work but also it could end up as just another highly forgettable and completely unnecessary remake of a cult horror film.
