But why do they need to make R-rated movies? They're doing perfectly fine making PG-13 superhero movies, so everyone can go see them. It just allows them to change things up and make different kind of movies, more violent stories with darker characters. That's what they've done with the Netflix shows like Daredevil and Jessica Jones, people really liked those shows and they would be R rated. So why can't they make movies along those lines as well? The X-men movies were all successful as PG-13 movies but now they have two R rated movies and one is the highest grossing movie they've done and the other the most critically acclaimed. Marvel could have made a R rated Ghost Rider movie but they just threw that character away by putting him in that terrible Agents of Shield show. Like I said they could make a movie for Blade as it's been 13 years now since the last one, they could do a R rated Moon Knight movie or a movie about a villain like how they're currently making Venom which might also be R rated.
