No that's not true at all. Fox agreed early on in 2011 that the movie would not work as a PG-13.
"Reynolds' Green Lantern superhero film was released later in 2011 and was "a disaster", tainting the project which Fox executives were already concerned with due to its R-rated content. The studio agreed after several meetings that the film could not be reconfigured to a more traditional PG-13 rating, and gave Miller "a low-six-figure budget" to produce some test footage."
They didn't approve of the footage, it didn't get made, the footage got leaked online, made a wave of noise and so they made it for a low budget. It was always going to be R rated if it was to be made. It had nothing to do with Ryan Reynolds "bothering them", it was all because of the attention it received after it got leaked.
That is not what it means to be R rated. It's also a very odd comment to make that a movie having blood and gore for some reason must mean the plot would be inferior because of it. Logan had a better plot than almost every MCU movie while also having blood and gore.
Not to mention most action movie classics in general like Aliens, Terminator and Die Hard.
Not that this would matter even in the slightest but yes it is connected to the current timeline. Logan is set following the ending events of Days of Future Past, it's set in the new timeline which is connected to the prequel movies like X-men Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix.
That actually isn't the same though. That is not different timelines like with X-men. All Dr Strange did was reverse time, so that it never actually happened at all. Like him reversing the half eaten apple to become an intact apple, there wasn't an alternate timeline that got created where the apple was half eaten. So nobody actually died.
Already explained that it's not unconnected plus they were already shown to have killed them off once. They did die off screen but they were still main characters anyway and the same movie killed off two main characters on screen.
The Warriors Three are insignificant, nobody cares them in the first place or even remembers their names. They are that insignificant that one of them changed actors and most wouldn't have even noticed the difference. They obviously do not compare to the likes of Storm, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Ice Man and Rogue etc.
And in this case, they wanted nothing to do with Reynolds' project and just gave him money to stop bothering them. When it turned out to be a success they swooped in to take all the credit.

They already had that, little need to do a skin flick where plot is substituted for buckets of blood and gore.

Not if it's some future AU unconnected to the current timeline.

Doesn't matter. Earth was destroyed in the original timeline of Dr Strange so he created a new one. I don't see you saying that the MCU killed off all of Humanity.

Off-screen in some unconnected future AU. Why is it okay to do this but not to kill the Warriors 3?
