They didn't approve of the footage, it didn't get made, the footage got leaked online, made a wave of noise and so they made it for a low budget. It was always going to be R rated if it was to be made. It had nothing to do with Ryan Reynolds "bothering them", it was all because of the attention it received after it got leaked. Yeah, they took credit for someone else's work the whole way through. Tell that to everyone who wants an R Rated MCU movie. All it comes down to is "More blood and skin". No it didn't, it was the same usual plot of every X-Film. Aliens' plot had serious holes, Terminator was enjoyable but nothing too R-Rated and Die Hard had a lot in common with MCU movies. No it's not, it's some AU that isn't meant to affect the present day movies at all. Thus altering time, the way X-Men did. Only the MCU is still more consistent over what timeline they're in compared to the XCU's mess-ups. It doesn't mean anything if they're in some future AU. And no, killing characters off-screen doesn't mean anything either. Yeah, they got stuff to do whereas all those others have is merely name recognition from the comics with nothing on-screen to earn our sympathy.
