I've seen a few complaints in regards to the marketing campaign possibly being a big reason to it's less than stellar performance. A lot of mentions of them being dumb for leaving Superman off the posters and the promo's. So I'm curious, how much of a difference do any of you think Superman really would of made? I figured that Batman and Wonder Woman in the marketing and having SuperMan's symbol in the "You Cant Save The World Alone" in there would be enough to tell you Supes is in it. But as far as I'm concerned Superman isn't as popular these days as he used to be so I'm curious am I wrong in that statement? He was a huge deal it seems when Reeves was playing him but it seems his popularity has been surpassed by other characters like Batman and now possibly a few Marvel characters I never thought I'd see. I personally hate the character so I might be ignorant to his remaining popularity so I am asking if he really would of made that much of a bigger deal if he was always included in the posters and promo's. Well he made $668,045,518 in 2013 so that's pretty big. ...And that was with a poorly reviewed movie that divided audiences. But WB couldn't win there. People criticized them for leaving Supes out....now people are criticizing Marvel for showing what happens to Vision in their new trailer for IW. Fans will complain either way. I kind of admire that they left it out. Although just about everyone online knew that Supes was coming back, it may have been a pleasant surprise for some audience members. Just imagine how cool it would have been to discover the Hulk was in Thor 3 in the theater instead of the trailer? ...But there is no way they could leave that out of the promotion unfortunately.
