Superman 3 flopped, Superman 4 bombed, Superman Returns disappointed, Man of Steel did alright but not as well as expected, Batman vs Superman was profitable but again disappointed and now Justice League is also flopping right now.
Batman always had a lot more success.
Actually not true, only 1 Superman film has outright failed, where as 2 Batman films flopped, and they were back to back films, yet Batman was given more chances and an ever increasing budget despite TDK's turn of fortune the films had been seeing a clear decline in audiences, whilst with Superman the second the piles of cash started getting smaller at the box office so did the budgets.
Batman just got more chances to turn it's fortune around, also why is Superman seemingly to blame for the joint films not working out so well? Superman wasn't even advertised for JL, but Batman sure was so shouldn't the stumble of JL be on Batman more so than Superman?
