Batman Begins and Superman Returns made far less than the Star Wars prequel trilogy, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Spider-Man movies, the Iron Man movies, the Hobbit trilogy, the Avengers movies, the second and third Captain America movies, and the third Thor movie.
