They issued a statement at nearly midnight last night saying they are banning away fans from their London Senior Cup tie with Clapton on Wednesday evening. They say this is because of the Clapton Ultras, who they claim have a pattern of 'unacceptable behaviour'. This is a political decision spurred by the shitty owners of Clapton FC, and nothing to do with security. The Clapton Ultras are ultras in the true sense, not in the English re-definition as hooligans. The Clapton Ultras are passionate about their club. They want the owners out so boycott the teams home games. Away, they create some of the biggest step five attendances going. They do community work with local schools throughout Newham, support local foodbanks and kids charities and support neighbouring clubs. This is really shitty and disturbing from Met Police FC. Hopefully the FSF can intervene and get it reversed. PS yes we have ultras groups in non-league football. They are passionate left wing supporters that bring the best atmosphere, and do lots of community work in their spare time. They are fantastic ultras groups, and nothing to do with any trouble or violence.
