I remember Gareth Edwards claiming that he'd said he really liked that Rogue One but I don't remember seeing him in person giving his thoughts...
He seems to be unconcerned with SW anymore. Except at conventions where Kathleen Kennedy begs him to make appearances to get the fanbase hyped and recount the origins of SW. You can tell he's not into though. It's like Kennedy is rolling out grandpa from the nursing home to tell stories of the glory days at the family reunion. And you can tell he sees right through it.
