I'm generally a Batman fan, by the way, but I'm a Batman fan who liked the Joel Schumacher films, the Adam West series, etc.

Just curious, what are your thoughts on the two Burton films?

I like the Burton films a lot, too. The Dark Knight is really the only Batman I've seen that I've been disappointed with. I liked Nolan's Begins. I still haven't watched Rises though.

I can't recall my specific complaints about The Dark Knight at this point--it's been too long, but I remember not liking Heath Ledger's Joker very much. One problem is that Nolan was apparently shooting for realistic, but I don't want realism. I like fantasy (and I like absurdism, surrealism, etc., too)
