I'm going to say this one more time. Superman isn't as big as you think. If he was actually the number one or two most popular superhero, there would be nothing standing in their way. The problem is, even though everybody knows who he is, everybody also thinks he's boring as fuck. Please understand this, and stop being so surprised. Doesn’t matter. People want it and a story can be created. Superman's only ever had ONE truly good film to his name. Superman II had genuine characterization issues, like how Superman is hardly heroic, and Superman 3 and 4 were just trainwrecks. Superman Returns suffered from a Director who didn't care about the character and just wanted to do a Love Letter to Richard Donner. |
