Superman's only ever had ONE truly good film to his name. Superman II had genuine characterization issues, like how Superman is hardly heroic, and Superman 3 and 4 were just trainwrecks. Superman Returns suffered from a Director who didn't care about the character and just wanted to do a Love Letter to Richard Donner. But I’m not talking about the past, I’m talking about what could be done in the present. Easy, go cosmic. Earthbound Superman stories aren't that easy to do even when he IS the only superhero on the planet (Donner) and he's only ever had 1 good Earthbound movie anyways. |
