Anyway the trailer looks far too polished and I didn't like the eyes either. Big eyes work in manga and animation, but added to live action they are just weird and borderline uncanny valley.
On to the trailer. I loved it. The movie, who knows. It could be good, it could be terrible. But the trailer is fantastic. Again, they open on her eyes, pulling the audience into an emotional connection with her immediately. It isn't going to work on everyone (the CGI didn't bother me but I understand the negative commentary in the thread), but the intent again is to make the audience care about this artificial being as if she were a real person.
I think it way they used the music more than anything else that pulled me in; this is just a solid trailer that knows exactly what it's trying to do. It worked on me, I'll be seeing it in theaters unless the next trailer reveals the film to be garbage. It's possible the movie will be awful, but I'm taking a chance going on this trailer alone.
