My problem is the process over which I have no control. My nurse has to shower six patients. Since ai cannot stand up, a machine has to help me stand up to put me into a rolling shower chair. I have to use a special chair that raises my feet so,I don't pass out due to my blood pressure dropping. That chair is hard to get, so the fit begins early. I would love a shower right after breakfast, but yesterday, I got the last one of the day, after lunch.
The weather here is funky. Freezing at night, but in the mid-80's during the day, so no one wants to shower first as they don't have any heat in the rooms. It is 64 now in here. Sometimes it is so cold, my iPad doesn't seem to recognize my fingers.
But enough complaining. A friend of mine is staying with her 87 year old boyfriend in a hotel near Santa Barbara because he has been evacuated from his home in the Carpenteria/Momtecito area due to the massive fire. His 17 year old dog collapsed due to the heat and bad air and she had to give it CPR. My problems seem a little smal in compared with these people losing their homes. One of his neighbors is Jeff Bridges and I have heard that Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres and Rob Lowe live near there. If money can save things, Oprah can probably stop the fire.
