I'm a Trekkie to the core and have always found The Motion Picture mesmerising. The 2001 Director's Cut is the finest version of the movie.
I do enjoy A New Hope, but it's probably my least favourite of the original Star Wars trilogy (though I do prefer its first Act over the first Act of RotJ and Tarkin is a more interesting nemesis than the Emperor).
