I don't know if I have a solid five (and I personally liked probably about 2/3 of "The Arrival"), but I do have one.
"Get Out"
I really like Jordan Peele, but I struggled at the time and now to understand why seemingly everyone loves "Get Out." It was a slow boil. OK, I'm on board. It spun a tale heavily rooted in racial tension in the USA. Still on board...I guess. Then I got bored. I saw what it was trying to tell me way before it started browbeating me with it.
Maybe it's just me, but I thought it was boring and uneventful. Great premise (and the lead actor was magnificent), but it didn't really go anywhere for me. Maybe just not my brand...but if this is where horror is going...well...
