Mark Hamill wanted George Lucas to be part of the new trilog

That's really what star wars fans wanted. Well the reasonable ones anyway.

George Lucas as a story contribute and producer, at least just for the sequel trilogy. They could get the directors they want as well as script writers. George helps with giving us a trilogy that ends the Skywalker story, his story and vision, and Disney could continue with future star wars films that tells whatever story they want to do.

Sadly we're stuck with whatever Disney gives us.
