Ok, but Guardians still developed those characters pretty deeply, along with their relationships to each other, so I'm not sure why Justice League needed more time to do that. Because the story they wanted to tell couldn't be done in under 2 hours. At least not in a way to leave a meaningful impact. This movie could have easily been a episode of a Justice League cartoon with how rushed the plot was. Hell this could have been a straight to DVD Avengers movie for Marvel to make a quick buck. I haven't seen it so I obviously can't say, but I'm curious. Guardians had them fighting over the orb while establishing both Ronan and the Ravagers, and then they get imprisoned, there's a huge breakout scene, then Knowhere and The Collector are established, The Nova corp coming after them, a huge breakout scene, a reconciliation and plan formed with the Ravagers, and then a coordination with Nova and a massive final battle.
What was going on in Justice League that was more extensive?
