Flashbacks are a sign of unimaginative writing

Well there’s a last shot on the Falcon as the heroes are there but then it has to cut to some kids who had a small role. There’s these little kids who are slaves on Canto Bight and I don’t recall what happened exactly but the little girl looks up at the sky and feel this special ring that Rose gave her (it’s just a ring that you twist and it shows the Rebel insignia). The kids won’t be seen again, they just had a small role but they are the ‘hope’ that all is not lost. Honestly it felt like a Marvel post credit scene but it wasn’t post credits.
