They cast unknowns at the beginning of the MCU when they didn't have a choice. They don't cast nobodies now. Thor, Loki, Warmachine, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Spiderman, Black Panther, Valkyrie, Falcon, Winter Soldier, Drax, Ant-man, Yondu, Nebula... all were played by relative unknowns. Or at least by actors who are not readily recognizable to the general public. Even Chris Pratt wasn't that recognizable a name. And that's not even including the villains. Thor, Loki and War Machine were back at the beginning of the MCU. Paul Rudd was not an unknown, he's been around forever as a comedic lead which is exactly what he was in Ant-Man. Regardless, do any of these characters have the notoriety of Magneto with the general public? Only Spider-Man-- and they needed a fresh face which was the whole point in the direction they were going with that character. Terrible argument.
The villains usually aren't nobodies either, so it's a good thing you didn't try listing them as well. Jeff Bridges was the villain in the first MCU film! Are you going to say Hugo Weaving was a nobody when he was cast? Academy award nominee Mickey Rourke? Robert Redford? Guy Pearce? Ben Kingsley? Let me know when the nobodies show up. I guess you're going to try to sell Ronan as a character of equal stature to Magneto.
So yeah, considering where the MCU is now in terms of poularity, there's no way they cast a
