I note that Celtic's next game is v basement boys Partick at home (a given, surely) and then on the 23rd they play what should be a good 'un v Aberdeen. But, at current standings, it looks close in the SPL. I'm quite excited to see Aberdeen up at 1/1 to win it, well, win it Without Celtic that is, i.e finish second (Rangers 10/11, Hibs 20/1, Hearts 66/1) Any of those teams, on current standings, could well finish second, I reckon.
What was it, over a hundred points that Celtic amassed last season, about a thirty point gap between them and their nearest challengers Aberdeen. But this season things seem a bit tighter. I don't pretend to know any more than a little about Scottish football's stats, form, head to heads, management, history, injuries, the crazy amount of goals scored in the Highland and Lowland leagues (which is why you'll never see any of those league's games on any bookie's coupon (at least outside of Scotland) but I'm tempted to place a go-er on Aberdeen to finish second (1/1) and also a smaller stake to win it this season (25/1) Be interesting to get views from the hardcore crew around here, La Fong, Izzy, Nogbad.
What the hell, I may even go a few sovs on the Staggies finishing bottom and treble me money!!!
