I REALLY wanted to like this movie. I enjoy George Clooney as a director, the cinematographer is a genius, and the actors were good and the script was by the Coen brothers - I was thinking "no way this could go wrong". Yet it did. so all you had was a movie filled with DISGUSTING HORRIBLE people that you couldnt even laugh at. So… I gave it 4.5 mostly for the camera work, again that was done so well. Part of the problem is we are dropped into action without any explanation, the characters needed development as well. I actually didnt mind that aspect of it. I like that in movies. When you can say mid way in "oh I see why he did/said that" and it all makes sense. Like when Damon acts so cold toward his son as he is taking him downstairs or says "i thought we agreed…". The character development yes, I agree. They all felt too one-dimensional, not human enough. I might have to watch Fargo and Confessions of Dangerous Mind now again to get out of that spleen Suburbicon gave me
