There was a rerun that aired over the weekend. Seemingly young woman had seven kids, the oldest was 18 (the mom looked like she was in her early twenties!).
Anyway, she worked sporadically and the only income coming into the house was a monthly SSI payment of approximately $600 that was designated for one child. However, she claimed that the $600 was enough money for the entire family, and JJ had a very hard time accepting that.
Oh, and she didn't pay rent (was on Section 8). But she did have enough money to purchase a $3,000 car, and when JJ asked her how was she able to save that much money with 7 kids and a $600 monthly income, she struggled at first with the answer but then mentioned that she had sold her previous car and used that money to purchase another vehicle.
Not sure if she used any of her child's monthly income to purchase a vehicle.
