1. The entire climax of the saga was when Luke learned not to fight. So yes I do think that either. 2. Looks like he succeeded doing it his way. 3. Critics would have complained that a Force Projected Light Saber actually doing something vs a real one was too much of a stretch. But physically holding golden dice and physically handing them to Leia wasn't a stretch? That's what I mean when I say this whole astral projection idea was done by someone who barely understands the surface of the lore. Either you follow established lore in which case all things are possible during astral projection that are possible in real, tangible form, or, you make your own lore and make it consistent. It suspends belief that Luke can do physical things and yet wouldn't attempt to take a swipe at Kylo. Yours is a decent argument, but I don't buy it for a second. It's just bad writing from a SW novice, and that's what RJ is. I'll take Johnson and the main message of Star Wars from Lucas himself over whatever rules that were dreamed up by some EU writer that I never heard before, any day.
