But physically holding golden dice and physically handing them to Leia wasn't a stretch? That's what I mean when I say this whole astral projection idea was done by someone who barely understands the surface of the lore. Either you follow established lore in which case all things are possible during astral projection that are possible in real, tangible form, or, you make your own lore and make it consistent. It suspends belief that Luke can do physical things and yet wouldn't attempt to take a swipe at Kylo. Yours is a decent argument, but I don't buy it for a second. It's just bad writing from a SW novice, and that's what RJ is. I'll take Johnson and the main message of Star Wars from Lucas himself Well then you should hate the ST because it is doing a terrible job of following the rules Lucas put in place. As for what the EU says about astral projection, fine, who cares? But we should care what TLJ's writer meant with this plot device, right? So let's ask. Rian, in your world, does astral projection mean someone is essentially a hallucination and, therefore, can't engage in a real fight...or does it mean they can physically do things like hand off a set of gold dice? Because I'm confused by the fact that you showed us both. Let's see how he answers....
