Well then you should hate the ST because it is doing a terrible job of following the rules Lucas put in place. As for what the EU says about astral projection, fine, who cares? But we should care what TLJ's writer meant with this plot device, right? So let's ask. Rian, in your world, does astral projection mean someone is essentially a hallucination and, therefore, can't engage in a real fight...or does it mean they can physically do things like hand off a set of gold dice? Because I'm confused by the fact that you showed us both. Let's see how he answers.... LOL, no it doesn't. People think that the PT revised the OT, but it really is the other way around. Put them in the right order, and I'm really, really, good with how the Force has gone. I'm not Rian, but if I was, I would say the projection is powerful enough to a project pair of dice solid enough to hold. And that Luke finally learned at the end of Return of the Jedi that the whole point of the Light, was not to fight anyway. Based on this, no one fires a weapon in Ep. IX, right? They're all just going to sit around and play furry furry rabbit with each other? Hey, why not? Once Kylo and Rey finally fuck, everybody will just calm down. Leia will give Armitage a motherly hug (which he desperately needs), Poe will only put on air shows in his X wing and rancors will lie down with banthas. Jerusalem will be saved. Armageddon averted. Force Ghost Han will walk in and wink at everyone.
