First it seems someone is unable to count, not you Deb I assume it's whoever wrote the piece because it's also it's fucking stupid, just my take on this stuff.
Not a WTF moment, made perfect sense both in that he would be back and that he'd be on the evil team, also not killing him made it seem obvious they would use him again as if not why not kill the character off in some way?
Not even dignifying this with quoting the paragraph, not a real WTF moment, not even the first or 2nd time Batman or the Batclan have been referenced in these shows before, so the only way it's a WTF is as in "why the fuck" is this even on this list ffs?
Same as above more a why the fuck as opposed to a what the fuck, stupid meaningless and why the fuck is it being mentioned?
This was like Anatoly, if it's not dead we knew where this was going, sad they did it in such a shitty way, I mean seriously how this worked is basically they were separate from when she found out Oliver had a kid till she forgives him for having one, they never resolve their issues such as she never really trusted him, she was waiting for the first excuse to dump him, she was verbally even emotionally abusive, selfish as well as needy and he's pandering pussy.
The whole getting back together could have worked if they had ever had these two recognise their problems as a couple because then a new relationship would signal a change, but it wasn't and it wont, plus way to rush it I mean FFS even without their fucked up relationship drama to sort through they didn't even pay anything off because their was no build to shit, fucking horrible writing all around here imo.
Another could have worked if they had put in the time, even the reveal was lacklustre, all the shit that happened in S5 and he never took off the mask but any random excuse for him to do so in his first reappearance in what 7-8 months and he does it, they didn't even build up to why it being him would matter, I barely remembered she had a partner let alone gave a fuck to find out he's alive, sure people didn't expect it but that's because it made no fucking sense and held no meaning, just a wasted opportunity.
3. Slade Wilson and Oliver’s “Friendship”
Clearly this fucker missed the point, Slade & Oliver were enemies due to Slade being effected by the Mirakuru, Slade has now been clean from it for 3 years, the last time they met iirc was in mid/late S3 when Slade was still a bit fucked up psychologically, but it's been more than 2 years since and he's cleared his head, plus he showed Oliver he was "back" at the end of last season, Deathstroke was Oliver's enemy not Slade, Slade was Oliver's friend, they even showed that part of what made Deathstroke so violent was the shit that happened with Oliver, when Oliver was "dead" Deathstroke was at peace and Slade was in control but when Oliver came back so did Deathstroke, Oliver seems to recognise this, which given Slade was being housed & monitored by Argus means Oliver could have kept tabs on Slade and was why he figured he could trust him to start with last season, so the friendship is not a WTF at all.
Oh fuck off this isn't even close and the reactions to it even in show were fucking stupid, they were the couple that made the most sense in a sense, he's the peak of human conditioning, white & blonde a perfect Nazi breed, she's white, blonde & has godlike powers a perfect Nazi icon, her power his mind for battle made them a perfect pairing, also they barely know each other in the shows so why a strong reaction by the characters? would have made more sense for that to just make for an awkward moment for the characters where it can be played for laughs later, like Felicity's reaction to finding out and Kara admitting Oliver is attractivbe but Felicity jokes to keep her hands off because she knows where Oliver keeps the kryptonite arrows.
That's the thing that's the WTF moment, how did Oliver know or have kryptonite to use against Overgirl? they made no mention ever of Kryptonians on earth-1 or a major meteor shower so how does he know of their weakness or it's existence?
This is another example of shitty writing imo because the key parts to the hwy or how are ignored, also why are they forming a new team? Dinah & Curtis I get but why include Rene, he's proven multiple times to be unreliable, untrustworthy, self motivated, a backstabber & a pussy, or do we forget this is the 2nd time he's snitched on Oliver? why would anyone work with this guy ever again? why are they overlooking his breach of all forms of trust, the only reason he may get his kid back is because Oliver hlped him so in return he betrays the fucking guy, but that's cool but Oliver not trusting the team when one of them is a confirmed rat is beyond the scope of what they can allow? suck my fucking nuts you dumb fucks.
All of these WTF's are either not WTF's or are just in terms of shitty storytelling, the problem imo the show suffers from is Russo-it is as in Vince Russo the fucking idiot who thinks doing the unexpected makes for good TV, problem is the expected is the expected these days because we know the path a story is most likely to travel due to the amount of TV & films we consume on the regular, occasionally someone can surprise us but most of the time the surprises happen because they make no fucking sense, swerve's are bullshit and that's all this show has done all season, nothing has mattered because nothing has been built up really, anyone can "swerve" someone, heres an idea next episode Oliver reveals himself to be GA but as he does another GA shows up and stops an assassin from killing Oliver, the Assassin will turn out to be Talia & the fake GA will be Wells 2.0 whose on vacation and turns out Oliver is the one who hired Talia who now owns a B&B with Nyssa in Dover, see no one will see it coming but that's because it makes no fucking sense...pricks.
Sorry needed to vent been an annoying day, thanks Deb your topics are always fun
8. The Return of Anatoli
Right from the first episode of the season, Arrow saw the return of Oliver’s old Russian mob buddy Anatoli, who is still ways away from becoming the super-villain KGBeast. Season 5 went deep into Oliver’s history with the Bratva, which seemed, without killing him off completely, finished off Anatoli for good. But as soon as Season 6 began, Anatoli came right back, and in the mid-season finale it seems he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

7. That Batman Reference

6. Billy Joel
Same as above more a why the fuck as opposed to a what the fuck, stupid meaningless and why the fuck is it being mentioned?
5. The Return of Olicity
Season 6 has been packed with returns, but the most divisive “return” is easily Oliver and Felicity’s relationship. Sure, it’s what fans wanted to see in early Arrow, but by Season 4 when it was a thing, few could tolerate the two being together. Their emotional distance in Season 5 was a palette cleanser from what seemed like a horrible mistake, but now Season 6 looks like a committed do-over. Maybe I’m just exhausted of the pairing, but this is truly one of the most baffling aspects of the season

4. The Reveal of Vigilante
Perhaps the folks behind Arrow didn’t think this one through. Or they did, and the execution just wasn’t there. Either way, the reveal of Vigilante being Dinah’s ex felt was a vastly underwhelming beat that didn’t live up. to something a whole year in the making. Thankfully, there’s some gas in that tank, as Dinah’s secret fueled her exit from the team with Curtis and Rene.

1. The End of the Team?
It might only be temporary, but the mid-season finale left the integrity of “Team” Arrow in doubt. There’s hardly a team anymore. Rene, Curtis, and Dinah have all left, and in the teaser for the return episde, they’re forming their own squad. Between Team Arrow and Team Canary/Dog/Terrific, Arrow is pretty much doing the premise of South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Hopefully, unlike South Park, Arrow won’t finish this storyline with a gigantic fart.
