In classical music, prominent conductors James Levine and Charles Dutoit are under withering fire (and facing concert cancellations from major orchestras) as accusations of decades-long sexual misconduct are surfacing. (Levine's border on paedophilia.)
I was watching CBC Newsworld this morning. The Philadephia orchestra has cut ties with Dutoit.
I predict academia is waiting nervously in the wings... .

Not to ruffle any feathers there, but.....
Isn't there some sort of statute of limitations with regards to cases like these? The alleged Dutoit case took place in 1991. There were other incidents from 1985.
Why, all of a sudden, is it a problem NOW?
Meanwhile, I'm waiting for the police to knock on my front door for something I said 20 years ago.
