Ragnarok had a proper purpose, to resolve all of the remaining Thor storylines and eliminate Asgard to set up Infinity Wars.
The undoing was just done with a 5 minute scene at the end. The bulk of the movie follows the same principles from the comic story.
Ragnarok was just a sitcom filler. It threw the story and setup from TDW into the trash.
Um... The entirety of DoFP was undoing X3. Just like Apocalypse undid X-men Origins, X1 and X2.
