Losing the token of your power and being stranded and captured is pure comedy, not drama.

Having to safe your people by destroying your home is pure laughter, nothing dramatic.

Apparently the movie has be filmed with washed out colors and have "dark and depressing" dialog all the way through for some people to see the pathos. Spoon feeding is necessary for some people.
