Silverchair = , NEVER heard of them here in the US.
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds = .
The unusual thing about Silverchair was they recorded their first album in 1995 when the members were only 15 years old. It went to #1 in Australia and #9 in the US. I remember at least two songs (Tomorrow & Pure Massacre) were frequently played on Rock radio here in Florida. Future albums did well in Australia but they kind of faded away in the US. Of course they never reached AC/DC level, but it was a pretty good run for a group of teenagers. My interest in Nick Cave was piqued when I recently watched Hell or High Water and I thought the soundtrack fit the movie perfectly. I later learned Cave performed many of those songs.
Silverchair's music really did evolve with each album. From their grunge roots to later straight up pop tunes. I thought their second album "Freakshow" was more popular than it actually was.
