Right. You know, Lupita Nyong’o was DuVernay’s original choice before Disney forced her to hire Reese for the role.
That's sad, especially since Nyong'o is one of my favorite actresses!
But if they wanted a popular white actress for the role, why Reese? She hasn’t had a hit she solely lead in 15 years. She was never a box office star; the media made her out to be.
