I remember a year or so ago some city accidentally had all of its fireworks go off simultaneously !

Dunno, really. We usually keep our distance (we live on a hill about a mile south of downtown and can see most of it from our deck). Just read about a fireworks barge that exploded at Terrigal Beach, NSW, Australia.

Only minor injuries to the two workers on the barge who dove into the water to escape.
