I love this movie, perhaps one of the last original musicals made for film.
Howard Keel and Jane Powell were in beautiful voice, and the dance sequences were perfectly choreographed.
I was especially impressed by the young Russ Tamblyn as Gideon.
I have never been to Oregon, so I wonder if winters were really as harsh as depicted in this film.
The northern state of Washington doesn't have that much snow--mostly heavy rains from the Pacific coast.
