Happy 87th Birthday Robert Duvall!!!  Born on January 5, 1931 in San Diego, California Thanks for everything, so far... One of the world's greatest character actor stars for the past 50 years.  Winner of an Oscar for Tender Mercies 1983 Winner of Golden Globes for Apocalypse Now "I love the smell of napalm in the morning" 1979, Tender Mercies 1983, Lonesome Dove 1989 and Stalin 1992. He's acted in over 140 movies and TV produtions, he's also directed 5 movies, beginning with the documentary We're Not the Jet Set 1977. Duvall began appearing in theatre during the late 1950s, moving into television and film roles during the early 1960s, playing Boo Radley in To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) and appearing in Captain Newman, M.D. (1963).  Early TV role in Alfred Hitchcock Prestents episode Bad Actor 1962. To Kill a Mongingbird 1962  The original Frank Burns in M.A.S.H 1970  As Tom Hagen in The Godfather movies 1972 and 1974.  The Napalm Lieutenant Colonel in Apocalypse Now 1979.
