It's OK to passionately root for your team. It is not to OK to punch and knock-out the supporters of other teams. What this Eagles fan needs is to be arrested and charged with felony assault.
I remember an episode I witnessed when I once took my young son to the Falcon's stadium. It was a Panthers at Falcons game. There was a guy there, peacefully rooting for the Panthers, dressed in Panther's gear, not saying anything provocative, just cheering and applauding when they had a good play. A drunken Falcons fan started to harass and threaten him. The situation was about to turn into spontaneous assault, with the belligerent and obnoxious Falcons' fan doing all the action, while the Panthers fan tried to be quiet and ignore him.
You know what happened? I didn't do anything because I was more concerned with my young son's safety, trying to shield him from whatever bad shit was about to happen. But other Falcons' fans yelled at the guy to stop, and since he didn't, went out and summoned event staff security, and the drunken bully was thrown out. Then the other Falcons' fans apologized to the Panthers' fan, saying "We are sorry for his behavior, sir. We are rivals, but you paid your ticket and have the right to be here; feel free to support your team."
That's class.
Always a better look to be the better man and turn the other cheek and just walk away.
But sometimes in life - enough is enough and it's time to take action
