I don't understand it much either due to characters behaving stupidly due to a terrible script. This was one of the most disappointing films in recent memory for me. I looked forward to Ridley Scott returning to R-rated sci-fi/horror and exploring the origins of the Alien universe. What we got instead was a bland retread of Alien with forgettable characters. At least the visuals were nice and Michael Fassbinder was good. Since we're discussing stupid flaws in sci-fi films, one of the biggest flaws in Prometheus is that these crew members agreed to go on a deep-space expedition without knowing exactly what the mission entailed. They don't find out until they have actually reached their destination. WTF?  |
