i see that a lot at steelers home games which is really odd considering the travel so well and are so popular. AFAIK their home games are always sold-out. What you are seeing is due to people going to the concessions for beer, to use the restroom, etc., especially a minute before halftime. There are no really empty seats, except if someone bought a ticket or owns a PSL and did not make it to the game for whatever reason (illness, accident, last minute change in plans). It still counts as sold-out since that seat was sold, regardless of whether or not the owner showed up. I think you are right, with people walking around the stadium for beer/food or whatever those Yellow empty Seats just stand out. |
