The Gifted - This show lacks serious buzz. It is my favorite Marvel TV show and is the one best integrated into an already existing universe. It is far better than the tagline of a family on the run. It's not perfect and is kinda formulaic, but it handles the familiar tropes very well with the mutant twists.
Parts Unknown - Bordain is my favorite travel host in general and this iteration of shows he's been doing for ages is the best he's done. The feeling of the show is more organic and it does a very good job of integrating history, food, culture, and socializing. CNN gives him a lot of freedom.
I don;t think I've ever seen more animal slaughters. He was in the Congo for one of them (That show was infuriating due to their history. The Belgians were scumbags...& it never got much better.), and they were cutting chicken heads off on a boat with what look like something only slightly sharper than a butter knife.
The one I just watched from Sicily, they should a pig get shot in the head, it's blood spurting out of its hurt to make sausage with later, and then chopped in half with a big machete.
That said, food that I have never tried or even heard of in many cases has never looked so good.
