I like him better in Cliffhanger but the writing of his character is better in Obsession. I actually much prefer Clffhanger as a movie though.

The best villain performance from Lithgow (and the best written villain he has played) is Arthur Mitchell in Dexter. Absolutely brillaint in that show. Second is his terrifying performance as Burke in Blow Out.
