As a neutral fan I'm just annoyed the game was won/lost on a bonehead play by the DB. A Hail Mary that got deflected would've been more dramatic and enjoyable. A DB shitting his pants and throwing his body at nothing in particular (and taking out the only other guy who could've made the tackle) is a lame way for a playoff game to end. I'm happy for Vikes fans, I'll say that. As a Pats fan I don't want to have to play the Vikes in their home stadium in the SB, but let's not put the cart before the horse. First we have to beat the Jags-- and say what you want, if they can manhandle the Steelers that way, they can play with anyone. As far as Philly/Minnesota, I can't say I have a preferred opponent between the two. Really? You wouldn't prefer to play against the Eagles in a neutral field, without their franchise QB, rather than the Vikings at home with their franchise QB? I don't understand why you wouldn't want the Eagles to prevail next week. And yes, the Jags will be a worthy opponent but I think you'll beat them. Dude, Case Keenum is not their 'franchise QB.' I don't see Keenum as any better or worse than Foles. I think either team could be tough and if Philly beats the Vikes, they should be respected as much as anyone else. And yeah like I said, I wouldn't want to play the Vikes on their home field but as matchups go, one team doesn't scare me more or less than the other. |
