For me, it's no contest......the OP had it EXACTLY right with Boston's, "More Than A Feeling"! Of all the songs I love, there is no other that so INSTANTLY transports me back to the time it was first released........the beginning of my junior year of high school (September, 1976). With this album, Boston more or less provided the 'soundtrack' for most of my high school years.......and not just good years, but GREAT years (and whenever I hear someone talking about their high school days, and how much they HATED them, I always smile to myself, and think, how sad......it's a shame they couldn't have enjoyed them even HALF as much as I did mine. HOWEVER, if we talk about COLLEGE YEARS.......now THERE were some BAD school years that I HATED!!!). And although I DID know that Boston's debut album ("Boston") was, if I'm not mistaken, THE biggest selling debut album in music history at the time, what I didn't realize is that it STILL is one of the biggest of all time (for some reason, I just assumed it would have been eclipsed by a number of other act's first albums by now........but at 17 million copies in the U.S., and 25 million copies worldwide, it still ranks right near the top)! Ahhhhh.......good times......GOOD TIMES... SAVE FERRIS
