Star Trek Enterprise - cancelled just as it was getting good. I was a big Enterprise fan, and I too would have liked to have seen additional episodes and perhaps more seasons.... At least there was an ending to the show, even though it was a bit controversial, being featured as a holodeck episode of TNG... However, I have heard somethings that might have happened in Season 5, which might contradict the finale... so I don't know if the Finale was written after they were cancelled, or what the deal was... 1.) Commander Shran was supposed to join the crew. I find this doubtful. Why would he? How would that affect the chain of command for the rest of the crew? 2.) The Enterprise would receive a refit, that would give it a secondary hull, like Kirk's Enterprise. I've seen this design, and it is pretty neat looking... But... Obviously this would contradict the Finale. Since Columbia was launched a year earlier, with very little difference in design to what Enterprise was... This Seems unlikely, that there would be a refit like this in Season 5... Then you have the "Romulan War" that everyone wanted to see. Not sure how that would have fit in with the premise of "Exploration". Also you have the constant issue of not breaking established Cannon from the earlier future shows. I don't think Enterprise ever broke it, in fact, several times it tried to straighten out many issues (For Example: The Klingon Augments)... but it sure BENT IT several times! Not sure how well more episodes would have been received. Perhaps, it was best that it did end, at the end of the fourth season...
